Recently i have felt unhealthy ,I acutally gainged alot of wieght 20 pounds to be exact. I was a very active person. I played soccer did boxing and played hs football. I had to stop doing soccer and boxing about 4 month ago because my appendix had burst and i wasnt able to do any activites until my doctor gave me the go ahead. As a result i would eat the same why as i used to however i wasnt doing anything so i never burned the calories off. Last week my doctor calls me and says i am good to go. This past friday i decide to get back in to boxing. I have beenboxing since i was six, ive faught in alot of excibition fights and compitions.Iam looking foward to to gettting back in shape and competeing once agin. My 2 favorite fighters hands down is chavez and tyson .,... both were brawlers .. and both had the killer instinct... I guess i never really chose to box it was something that came natural.. So far im happy were i am at but i still feel like theres something missing ?
This weekend i saw the best movie in years. The movie came out around 1990 and it is a scilent film . the name of the movie is the begotten.. its really good a bit gory but it will trip you out like no other movie has!
I also hung out my oldest friend fifi .. I met this guy when i was 11 and i can say i am the way i am because of him. we went to a venue called sabotage it was really cool .. im not really into the whole electro music but man thats place was dope.. As soon as you walk in you see coffins and dummys massked people... the only way to get to the club is you have to pass through the everthying... finally once inside its decorated lke jesters and jokers. the walls are all neon so it took me a while to find the restroom. the handle was blended in really well with the walls.
Finally the saddest thing that happened to me this weekend was that one of my cats left and never returned. i went out ive looked for him ive asked people but nothin . I have my suspicion that the taco truk that posts up in front of my house got him,. But yea i feel sad its cold out and i just miss him.

I was able to sleep in and get my much need rest. My friend George invited me to go with him to Long Beach to go pick up and engine he had purchased of craigslist. For his 93 Honda dx i told him i would install it for him . So where getting ready to go pick up when we find out that his truck had a flat and to top it off the truck had special nudges that can only be unscrewed with a special torque wrench. We must have spent almost 2 hours just trying to find that wrench. So after that we changed the tired and were on our way when we saw my other friend walking in the street we told him if he needed a ride home he said yea.We told him we would take home but first we need to go pick up the motor. Were driving my my fiend has the directions he swears that knows how to get there. Some how idono how haha we ended up far far away from long beach . Too top it of when we get to the store its closed. The sign read early closing on Fridays thank you for your bushiness. I was laughing but felt bad for my friend so too cheer him up we bought him a hot dog from a vender n the street. my other friend wanted to practice his driving so he suggested to drive back home. Were leaving the store and were making a left turn wen my friend stepped on the gas and made drag my friends hotdog fell out the bunn and messed up his shirt its was really funny to see, because georges nickname is bud-ha be case no matter what hes calm ..but man he flipped out it iwas the first time since ive known him that i got to see that side of him and was it funny. After we got back home my other friend derek calls me and asks me if i wanted to go with him to go see the Arleta game. So where at the game and we see Selena and Jose there we turn around and start to talk. Later Carina shows up so it was a party hhaha.., I was really pumped up ive almost ad a ring 2 times but we felt short. I really wanted my friend to win unfrtnately we lost it was sad to see them alll down. it was harder for me because i have been n there shoes and have felt that nasty taste of defeat. It brought back alot of unwanted memories after the game was done i went down to go talk to my old coaches. That night I couldnt stop thinking about football. I was debating weather to use my scholarship to play ball at cal poly pamona. Saturdy moring was ugly it poured the whole day tilll the night when it was time for my step bro Jonathan Cortezs 18 party and man was it a party ! There tacos and drinks and music .The best part was when i had time to talk to him one on one there were so many things i wanted to tell him .O but the best part as the ride home,,

drugs and alcohol abuse #9
Our nation’s youth are plagued by an all too common disease…drug/alcohol abuse. Drastic measures need to be taken so that these radical events get placed under control. When a teen becomes an addict, he/she goes far beyond the scope of just harming his/herself. It affects every person that is emotionally tied to the victim. Often, the signs show up in the teen’s schoolwork. Action should be taken the immediate second a teacher or counselor notices the problem.
Some teens start using drugs at a young age, sometimes as young as age 13. They often start by trying the drug and experimenting with them, and also by peer pressure. Drugs can become a habit and often plays a big role in their education. They become more clueless and tend to forget what they are trying to learn, others also start by missing class and failing to complete assignments. Depending on the substance they use the problems may vary. When teens become addicted they lose friends, develop health problems. They don’t seem to be active in any sports. They tend to change the kind of friends they have, because of honest friends that try to help them out, but they reject the help and continue with friends that abuse the substance. The reasons teens choose to use drugs vary widely. Some teens use drugs to be popular or to fit in with their friends, and others because they say they have problems at home, or they simply want attention from their parents. Problems at home can occur, and many disagreements with others. If they have siblings they become a bad example Youth’s immature physical, emotional, and psychological development make them more susceptible than adults to the harmful effects of drug abuse. Teens health effects of teen drug abuse can vary, depending on some factors like how often and how much they use drugs, how quickly it gets to their brain, if they use different drugs at the sometime, their body size and their own chemistry in their body.

change #8
Leave, you can’t be in here! A homeless man with his head down wearing a vomit green trench coat was being shoved out of the restaurant. I don’t know what came over me, I walked up to the homeless man and asked him what was wrong. He slowly turned his head as if to conserve what little energy he has left. His face was long and very boney you could see shadows all along his eyes and cheekbones. He hasn’t eaten in days I thought to myself .He replies with a soft raspy voice, “they don’t want to sell me food.” At that point I don’t know what came over me I was in raged. I told him that it was ok that I would buy him some food. His facial expression was neutral no movement.
I asked him to come with me inside the restaurant once again. Just then right before I could finish his eyes opened wide. I could see the fear he had in his eyes. He was afraid to enter; I grab his arm firmly to let him know that he was not alone. He finally decided to walk into the restaurant. As the door swung open the bell rang. Silence! Heads turned all eyes were on us. I looked around I could see people reactions change, faces morphed in to ugly monstrous stares. We finally get to the cashier I ask the homeless man to order his food and once again with a soft raspy voice he orders a burrito. The casher looks at him in disgust. She says she won’t serve him. He shrugged down and puts his head down lower than before. I step up and ask the casher a rhetorical question I asked her why won’t you sell him food. I tell her in that case I would like to order a burrito.
She immediately turned and stared me down her eyes like everyone else’s in the restaurant were sending me messages they we angry and disgraced with me. I shut them out only focusing on the cashier at that exact moment I see the manager running towards us. He’s yelling Get out! Get out! I argue to the manager he is with me his reaction was very familiar. He just stood there observing us. I turned and looked at the homeless man to start a conversation to lighten up the tension in the room. I asked him what his name was he said his name was James. He asked me what my name was I told him I’m Victor. The food was finally done the cashier hands me the bag. I did not reach out to grab the bag containing the burrito. I waited to see her offer the bag to James. Seconds passed and I guess she got the hint. I was proud to see James get his bag. We walk out of the restaurant and I offer him a ride. He repeatedly blessed me and refused the ride. He walked away down the street vanishing amongst the shadow.
Months pass I’m standing in line to order food at subway. I see this man in front of me , he looks very familiar as if I’ve seen him before. He turned around looked and hugged me. He caught me off guard I couldn’t believe that he remembered me. He said with a loud deep voice victor how are you doing? It was James he looked like he was doing well. He had on a black blazer a bright white dress shirt. I also notice he had a Rolex on his left wrist. His face was round and pudgy. I was awed by his new wardrobe we talked he even bought me food.

child abuse #7
I decide to write about child abuse because i was at the park and i saw this lady smacking her child around and cursing at her. For no apparent reason i look at the lady and told her what she was doing wasn't right. She looked at me shocked that i had told her something .So what is child abuse? According to the Find Law web site the definition is “Child abuse is any type of cruelty inflicted upon a child, including mental abuse, physical harm, neglect, and sexual abuse or exploitation. The specific crimes charged in instances of child abuse can include assault and battery. According to the help child website a report of child abuse is made every ten seconds. Almost five children die every day as a result of child abuse.
What are the Effects of Child Abuse? There are many consequences to child abuse most which are bad. Child abuse not only affects the child but the family and loved ones as well. Children tend to behave much older than they truly are. Because of the traumatic situations they have live through they offer feel as though they are the adults. Obesity blog #6
In the USA obesity is one of the largest health problems. The problem of obesity affects not only adults but the children as well. According to the documentary License to kill 6 million children are seriously overweight. Most children are addicted to bad food and bad eating habits that lead them to obesity and other health problems. There are three main contributing factors to children’s bad food choices. The first factor is that processed unhealthy food is more economical for parents. The second factor is that unhealthy food is easy to obtain and is more convenient than making a homemade meal. The final factor is the way media influences children’s food choices.
Families that are struggling financially tend to buy inexpensive food which in most instances is unhealthy. Most low income families tend to the less expensive food. It is cheaper to buy a gallon of soda than to buy a gallon of juice. It is also cheaper to buy processed food that is quick to make, such as macaroni n cheese, cup of noodles, chicken noodle soup, and other such food, than to buy different ingredients, such as meat and fresh vegetables, to make a healthy homemade meal. For most families that have a low income they need to feed their children so they tend to by what is in expensive which unhealthy food is.
Unhealthy food is easy to obtain and to prepare for parent. In most ever store, liquor, vending machine and ice cream trucks all they sell is unhealthy processed food. In most these shops they do not sell any fresh foods or anything that is healthy. There are very few organic food stores. Many parents don’t have the time to go shopping for healthy food. Let alone make healthy food. It is more convenient for parents to go to the drive through of any fast food restaurant. They don’t have to spend time cooking a homemade meal. Parents also tend to buy food that is quick n easy to make. Most parents buy food that is prepared by adding water n microwaving it. That type of food is not healthy. Over time eating this type of food will cause a bad effect in the health of these children.
The Media influences children especially when it comes to food products. Peter Jennings in the documentary how to get fat without really trying says that big companies lobby advertisement of unhealthy food products to children. There are no laws that restrict food advertising in the USA. As a result children are exposed to unhealthy food that is that is advertise just for children. On T.V products are advertised to children by appealing to what they want. For example, Mc Donald’s in there commercial used characters from Ice Age, a Disney movie for children. It showed a little boy opening a happy meal box and getting a character toy from the movie. Most children will want to buy a happy meal because of the advertising. There are many fast food restaurants that use similar advertising that appeals to children. Further more in regards to food we buy at the grocery store uses advertising that appeals to children as well. When we go to a store most food products use characters that are popular among kids to appeal to them. I took my little sister to go buy some food from the store. We walked through the aisles and she stopped and grabbed a box of Cheezets. I asked her why she wanted them if she didn’t like to eat them. She replied “because they are SpongeBob Cheezits”. The simple character form a cartoon was the reason my little sister ate something she didn’t like.
Overall unhealthy food is a big problem that causes many problems for those that are care for the most which are children. There are many reasons they are exposed to dead process food. Lack of money and the time to invest in healthier alternative of food and advertisement that makes children want to buy unhealthy food are just some of the factors. The point is that children are vulnerable and easily influenced. Children need to be guided in the right direction of healthy eating habits. Children’s addiction to processed food as a result of lack of money, convenience, and media influence, is a lethal weapon that leads to the deadly disease of obesity.
